​What is the International Thespian Society? 

The International Thespian Society (ITS) is the honor society for secondary school theatre students. Membership is granted for the performance of meritorious work in theatre arts.

How can I earn Thespian points?

How do I submit my Thespian points?

 Points can be submitted several times a year.  The next time we will submit points is in the Spring prior to our awards banquet/thespian induction.

How can I check on how many points I already have?

When is the next Thespian induction? 

Spring 2026

Is there a fee to be a Thespian? 

There is a one time $35 induction fee to join the Thespian Society.  Students who receive invitations to induction will be given details on how to pay the induction fee.  

How can we earn higher honors after we are inducted?

As you advance in high school, you will continue to submit events for thespian points.  These points (in addition to your GPA) can help you receive honors and graduation regalia.

10 points -- Inducted into the Thespian Society:  Receives Thespian Induction Pin, Can attend Thescon 
60 points -- Honor Thespian Status:  Receives Gold Graduation Cord
120 points -- National Honor Thespian Status:  Receives Graduation Medallion
180 points -- International Honor Thespian Status:  Receives White Graduation Stole

*In order to receive the above graduation items (cord, medallion, stole) you must be a thespian in good standing and active with the department.  This means that you follow all Bylaws and continue to be involved in the theatre department (Classes, Drama Club/Improv Club/Tech Crew) through your senior year.

When does the Thespian Society meet?

  • Meetings are held monthly in the Black Box (B100)
